LTW Leadership Forum - Enhance Your Leadership Journey In a Supportive Network Environment25/11/2023 Supportive networks are crucial for women in leadership roles as they contribute personally and professionally to their learning and growth. Our new initiative - the LTW Leadership Forum, addresses this need for connection and collaboration. This online event is a unique opportunity for all LTW alumnae to come together and continue the valuable conversations we started during our training days, celebrating our triumphs, exchanging invaluable insights on overcoming our challenges and empowering us all to bring our leadership and confidence to the next level.
On 23 Nov 2023, we had our first LTW Leadership Forum. A fantastic group of LTW alumnae joined us for an inspiring discussion about leadership successes and challenges that we are all currently facing or have experienced in the past. The conversation covered topics such as conflict management, values and career choices, how values differ from generation to generation, and what we can learn from this. Participants and facilitators provided constructive, appreciative and valuable feedback and further reading materials on the discussed subjects. Our lively discussion led to the emergence of new ideas and different perspectives. Another LTW Leadership Forum is coming in the first half of 2024, and every LTW alumna is welcome to join us! Finally, I want to end with a feedback line we received from one of our participants: I like the fact it is a safe group where women are supporting women! Thank you for this! Facilitators: Ann Wood, Petya BARRAUD (NENOVA)

It's great to see so many women taking on leadership roles or working towards them. Recently, 11 participants from different European countries and even Africa completed the online BPW Europe Leadership Training for Women "Be a Better Leader" on 29th September, 6th and 13th October 2023. Many of them have STEM or IT careers, where men still hold most leadership positions. The training covered various leadership topics, created a safe space for sharing experiences and allowed each participant to reflect and develop their own leadership vision and journey. BPW Europe offered four scholarships – 3 to Young BPW members and one to a BPW member actively contributing to the successful operation of their national organization. The next edition of the online BPW Leadership Training for Women Be a Better Leader will be held on the 16 and 23 February and 1 March 2024. Here is what participants had to say about the training: "Very inspiring interactive training managed by a very dynamic and effective female team. I highly recommend it." "Often, it's essential to engage in self-reflection and reevaluation to determine which upcoming steps warrant our full attention. The BPW LTW offered me invaluable insights and an insightful external perspective in this regard." "I liked the personal exchange in a small group the most. While talking with other people who are in a similar situation and are openhearted, there is very much room for reflection." "This was a wonderful course in terms of content and connections. For many of us, we can get so caught up in daily life and circumstances that we lose a bit of flexibility in thinking. This course helps with that, as there are women from many different backgrounds and experience levels sharing their varied situations. Very much looking forward to keeping in contact with these women." "I enjoyed being together with other BPW members at the BPW Leadership Training for Women to talk and learn about leadership. Besides some basic leadership skills, the personal interaction with the other participants and their stories made this training so valuable. It was very interactive and great to meet women from different countries as I like this international character. It was also an opportunity to reflect on my values, and I was surprised how they evolve over time." "This leadership training has truly been an enriching journey for me. In the beginning, I was in search of insights for my new role. Now, a few weeks after completing the program, I've come to realize that it enabled me to reflect on my past achievements to design my own path in preparation for future challenges. Additionally, it deepened my understanding of mental health and how to promote it within a team. One aspect that resonated deeply with me was the exploration of leadership roles within groups. It serves as a reminder that our collective power is at its peak when we collaborate. To maximise this strength, it's crucial that we comprehend the dynamics of group interactions." |
